ARCH ENEMY Guitarist Schedules Australian 'Meet-And-Greets'

October 25, 2007

ARCH ENEMY guitarist Michael Amott has scheduled several in-store appearances during the band's tour of Australia.

Amott comments: "I'll be heading down to a few select stores on the Australian tour to do 'meet-and-greets'. I won't be doing a clinic this time, more like hanging out and signing stuff — so bring your CDs and posters and whatnot! I might show off my spanking new signature model guitars (2008 series)! If so, you guys will be the first to see them! Thank you to the good people at CMI (Randall and ESP distr. in Australia) for setting this up!"

The details are as follows:

Oct. 27 - Perth, Australia - Guitar World Cannington
Time: Approximately 1:30-2 p.m. for 1 hour

Oct. 31 - Melbourne, Australia - Cranbourne Music City
Time: Approximately 1:00 p.m. for 1 hour

Nov. 02 - Sydney, Australia - Downtown Music
Time: Approximately 1:00 p.m. for 1 hour)

Nov. 03 - Brisbane, Australia - Ellaways music
Time: Approximately 2:00 p.m.

In other news, Amott had this to say about the band's first-ever concert in China, which took place Wednesday night (October 24) in Beijing: "The Beijing metal fans were awesome and we'd like thank the promoters GuitarChina.com and Space and William from Rock Empire. We loved this experience and we will be back!"

ARCH ENEMY's new album, "Rise of the Tyrant", sold around 8,900 in the United States in its first week of release — approximately 25 percent less than the opening number (12,000) of its predecessor, 2005's "Doomsday Machine" (which landed at No. 87).

ARCH ENEMY recently completed work on a video for the track "Revolution Begins" with acclaimed Swedish director Patric Ullaeus (DIMMU BORGIR, IN FLAMES, LACUNA COIL). Look for the clip to make its debut on MTV2's Headbanger's Blog in the coming weeks.
